Who We Are
Singapore Pools was established by the Singapore government on 23 May 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling. As a not-for-profit organisation, it makes contributions to the Tote Board to fund a wide range of causes in social service, community development, sports, arts, education and health sectors.
Since 2004, over $5 billion have been channelled to the Tote Board. In addition, Singapore Pools also contributes about $2 billion annually to the Government in the form of taxes and duties. Its responsible gaming practices have been awarded the highest level of certification (Level 4) by the World Lottery Association’s Responsible Gaming Framework since 2012.
Since inception, Singapore Pools’ staff have a long-standing commitment to doing good and giving back to those in need. Staff volunteers support activities held all year round, from helping disadvantaged children, youth-at-risk, underprivileged families, and elderly, to conserving the environment.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Manager, the individual will support Broadcast Operations in delivering live overseas horse racing events, ensuring seamless live transmission of these events for viewing and betting.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor broadcast systems, including playout servers, studio equipment (CG, Vision Mixer, Sound Mixer), and video/audio signals to ensure seamless live transmissions.
- Ensure scheduled race feeds, program line-ups, and interstitial content are played correctly on time.
- Identify and resolve any playout discrepancies or system errors to maintain a smooth broadcast.
- Ensure content quality, manage live broadcasts, manage live broadcasts, and maintain equipment for smooth operations.
- Archive and transfer broadcast materials in compliance with SOPs.
- Execute real-time switching of video sources, graphics overlays, and audio adjustments during live transmissions.
- Provide graphics overlays and editing support for live horse racing and lottery draws.
- Ensure all materials meet broadcast standards and enhance the viewing experience.
- Act as first line of defence in case of live broadcast failures and implement rapid contingency measures.
- Perform media ingest and manage content to ensure seamless playout.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing signals for quality assurance.
- Perform any other duties assigned to support Broadcasting Operations.
Who You Are
- Minimum Diploma in Mass Communications, Film, Sound & Video, or Film Production is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in related position within live sports transmission, television production, or media operations.
- Candidates with relevant certifications or strong industry experience in studio broadcasting may also be considered.
- Experience with Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.
- Meticulous, with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of horse racing, sports, or lottery industries will be an added advantage.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to work rotating shift hours, including weekends and PH, to provide 24/7 support.
