BCC Operator

Role Overview

​We are looking for a passionate and professional Operator to join our Wagering Control team.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Assistant Manager, the incumbent will update raceday information accurately and execute necessary operational action in accordance with the standard operating procedures of the Betting Control Centre (“BCC”).

What You'll Do

• You will stop sales on time and look out for any abnormalities during race and communicate to the BCC Executive.
• You will enter provisional result into betting system after verification by BCC Executive to display the provisional results with the dividend on the Electronic Display System (“EDS”) and Horse Racing Channel (“HRC”) for customers’ information.
• You will ensure raceday information are updated accurately and timely in the Web Portal.
• You will coordinate with Data Centre on standby to stop sales when race commences in the event if BCC Operator’s system hung.
• You will publish results on corporate website after race, perform withdrawal and activate “Inquiry” or “Objection” button after being informed and verified by BCC Executive.
• You will email meeting results to the publishers after the meeting has concluded and perform housekeeping racing information in department shared storage.

Who You Are

• You will need minimum O Level with credit in English Language.
• You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• You should be proficient in verbal and written English.
• You should be fairly confident with computer systems such as MS Word and Excel.
• You should be able to work on weekends and PH and perform shift hours.

As a not-for-profit organisation, all of Singapore Pools' surplus is channeled to Tote Board to fund a wide range of causes in social service, community development, sports, the arts, education and health. Currently, Singapore Pools contributes about $2 billion annually to the Government in the form of taxes and duties, and for the funding of good causes.
