Who We Are

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, the incumbent will establish and maintain regulatory compliance frameworks, standards, and procedures to support the organisation's compliance with applicable gambling, regulatory, licensing, and governance requirements. 

What You'll Do

• Support compliance activities in the following areas: 
  • Document compliance policies, processes and document practice notes and narratives. 
  • Understand regulations and its intent and apply this to business processes and IT functions. 
  • Implement assurance plans on a risk-based approach to identify potential areas of non-compliance. 
  • Establish privacy governance framework with the objective of complying with applicable laws (such as PDPA) and regulations. 
  • Secretariat to Risk & Governance Committee Meeting and help to coordinate activities to facilitate discussion on pertinent risk and regulatory matters to ensure regulatory compliance. 
• Prepare information for submissions to regulatory authorities for approvals and notifications (time-based or event-triggered) and follow up with business units for any subsequent queries in a timely manner. 
• Interact with internal business units, understand operational and business proposals from internal business units to assess level of compliance to regulations in these areas. 
• Establish good working relations with the relevant external regulatory working team to ensure that regulatory issues can be better managed in the interests of all stakeholders. 
• Establish good working relations with internal stakeholders and understand operational practices in relation to regulations. 
• Support compliance related projects in the following areas: 
  • Work with relevant stakeholders and tools on automation of specific processes, compliance assurance program, etc.  
  • Support all aspects of programme engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues. 
  • Monitor programme expectations and manage deliverables with team members and stakeholders. 

Who You Are

• Degree-qualified in IT, Engineering, Compliance/Controls, or a related field, with around 5–7 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Internal Controls, Privacy-related functions, IT Risk Management, and/or IT Governance. 
• A strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English, and a keen eye for detail. 
• Strong critical thinking and ability in performing assessments on compliance to regulatory requirements against current business practices.  
• Proven experience or knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and control frameworks (e.g. COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001). 
• Organised, resourceful and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
• A team player who is adaptable, able to work independently and work under timeline pressures when required.  
• Good-to-Have: 
  • Experience with e-commerce and/or gambling industry 
  • Professional certifications in privacy or data protection (e.g. Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection). 
  • Professional certification in ISO 27001 
  • Knowledge or experience with data analytics or data analysis/correlation tools
